On the planet Maltus, an early civilization evolved into a state of immortality, possessing great intelligence and mental power. Through advanced science, the Maltusians studied all apsects of life and experimented with genetic manipulation.
During an early study, they learned that one part of a local species’ mind had the capacity for greater complexity. They enhanced the reptiles and discovered that the new traits were passed to each succeeding generation. Released back into the wild, these life forms evolved into the Psion race.
The Maltusians eventually made an exodus from their homeworld, leaving behind Parallax, the embodiment of fear, sealed inside a box. They colonized a planet at the center of the universe called, “Oa,” where a brilliant scientist named Krona was instrumental in their scientific advances.
In their never-ending quest for knowledge, no secret would remain hidden…

Ten billion years ago, Krona sought to uncover this secret and constructed a machine to observe the past and witness the birth of all things.

As we know, Krona’s interference caused catastrophic damage and unleashed evil and suffering into reality. It also created an Antimatter Universe, with a corrupt duplicate of Oa, the planet Qward, in…

The Oans would not let Krona go unpunished…

The Guardians discovered the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum, the force of creation that gives the multiverse feeling, and built a Central Power Battery to store the green energy of willpower.
