You’ll recall that Nimue Inwudu was the younger sister of Morgain le Fey. She was adept at sorcery and trained with Merlin.

…and fell in love with his scribe, Jason of Norwich.

When Camelot fell, she and several other of Merlin’s apprentices accompanied King Arthur’s body to Avalon, the island of the dead.
I saw the castle explode, and thought he [Jason] was gone with it.
At the last minute, though, she jumped ship and the near-death experience made her immortal. She became a nomad, traveling as an outcast.

During her travels, she again met Jason, who now had Etrigan trapped inside him.

When the demon grew jealous of their relationship, Nimue became his lover in an attempt to control him and prevent a rampage.

As Nimue and Jason/Etrigan travelled the land, Jason received a new name…
Did you hear what they called me when they ran us out of that village? “Jason o’ the Blood.” People are starting to know about Etrigan.
