Morgaine le Fey’s older sister was Viviane Inwudu, also known as the Lady of the Lake. She serves as caretaker of the Secret Sea, an “uncharted dimensional reservoir” that is nevertheless felt in the world of man.

Hundreds of years ago, she gave King Arthur the legendary sword, Excalibur.

SILENT KNIGHT

Brian Kent lived at the same time as King Arthur. His father, Sir Edwin, was killed at a jousting tournament by Sir Oswald Bane, who framed it as an accident. Before he died, Edwin told him to continue his rule.

Sir Oswald placed Brian into the hands of one of his father’s friends, Sir Got. However, when he learned that he was becoming a skilled knight, Oswald feared that he would kill him, so he had Grot publicly humiliate him. 

One day Brian discovered a trunk in the forest that contained a suit of armor, a sword, a red helmet, and a shield. …

The Brave & the Bold (vol. 1) #1 (Aug./Sept. 1955)

He defeated Oswald’s men when they threatened travelers, then remained silent when asked his name.

As the Silent Knight, Brian Kent sometimes assisted King Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table in their battles and adventures. 

SHINING KNIGHT

Sir Justin Arthur rode to Camelot hoping to become a Knight of the Round Table. When he rescued a man, it turned out to be Merlin, and the wizard enchanted his equipment and gave wings to his horse.

As the Shining Knight, Sir Justin served King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table… until he was sent north to battle an ogre…
