Who was this “Colonel Zod” that appeared to save Krypton from Doomsday?
Dru-Zod came from what was traditionally a house of warriors; however, he was the son of a pair of Kryptonian scientists. When they were attacked by dangerous animals on a wilderness expedition, his mother was killed and he killed his father, creating a distraction so he could escape.
He wandered for a year, surviving on his own, until he was found and rescued by Jor-El and Zor-El.
As an adult, Zod became a distinguished soldier. He led the defense of the colony Daxam against the Dominion and was deeply affected…

Following the ordeal, he retired.

At the naming ceremony for Kara Zor-El, Zod saved the Els from assassination.
Two years later, he watched Jor-El and his brother, Zor-El, work on an experiment…
An inter-dimensional projector. It’s capable of transporting something from our dimension into another…

When the brothers declared the “Survival Zone” projector too dangerous, Zod thought…
This technology could by useful for some other application, maybe?
Then, when Zod was appointed Chief of Planetary Security and came to sentence the perpetrator of the assassination attempt two years ago, he banished him for eternity to the void-dimension known as…

Thus began a conflict between Jor-El and Zod.
To be continued…
