Nabu the Wise

If you recall, Nabu the Wise, a Lord of Order who came to Earth, was an advisor to the pharaohs of ancient Egypt. He and his contemporaries, Prince Khufu and Teth-Adam, discovered the crashed spaceship from Thanagar.

During this time, he created the Scarab of Kha-Ef-Re, which empowered its users with superhuman strength, flight, and the ability to generate energy blasts. Nabu used it to battle Vandal Savage, who had taken the form of the pharaoh Khafre.

However, his most powerful talisman was the Amulet of Anubis. Its origins are uncertain, but Nabu took it from the mad priest Khalis, who had used it to force a legion of slaves to built a mighty pyramid to honor the god Anubis.

During the reign of pharaoh Ramses, Nabu was a royal advisor and court magician. When he battled Wotan (see below), he was mystically wounded. He then went into a tomb and put himself into a trance to heal for millennia.

So began my training in the exploration of ancient mysteries… in the paths to power.

In order to escape death, the woman learned how to transfer her soul into other bodies, effectively directing her own reincarnation, or “re-birth,” as she called it. After thousands of rebirths, both male and female, she became the male sorcerer, Wotan, whose relentless pursuit of power brought him into conflict with Nabu.
