In Sector 407, at the parting of the Greater Magellanic Clouds, a small planet orbits a brown dwarf star. Its natives call it Tchk-Tchk.
After millennia of bloodshed, every hive had been slaughtered but one, the final victor in the wars for control of Tchk-Tchk. But peace did not follow conquest. The Tchk-Tchkii turned their aggressive urges outward, blazing a trail of plunder and destruction across the galaxies.
4200 years ago…
The Guardians sent their nascent Green Lantern Corps to drive the Tchk-Tchkii back from their conquests, back to their home planet. What all the surviving Tchk-Tchkii were contained there, the Green Lantern Corps erected a field of energy through which no vessels or bodies might pass.
After generations of trying to escape, the Tchk-Tchkii eventually accepted their fate. The Guardians had ended a threat to the universe.
