As we have seen, strong mystical energies were intrinsically tied to Atlantis.

Magic was.. the greatest tool of all, and the first magisters… constantly sought to perfect it and improve it…

This… quest for perfection… led them to the dark, which exists only to deceive and torment mankind.

The magisters woke it my mistake…

Shortly after he was resurrected, Arion met Atlantean royalty, including King D’Tulluh. Due to his god-like skills which he used to protect Atlantis, he became its Lord High Mage. Then, when the king committed suicide, he took the throne, his popularity among the people ensuring public support.

Centuries passed with many trials and tribulations for Arion and Atlantis… centuries since…

40,000 years ago, King Orin the First ruled from the city of Poseidonis. He was a benevolent leader who favored technology to make Atlantis great again after Arion took with him much of the technology and magic that had made it the cradle of civilization.

Orin’s brother, Shalako, was a priest of Suula, Goddess of the Sky. He used his faith to oppose Orin’s science. However, they remained civil and never instigated war against the other.

After an attack by nomads, Orin proposed building a huge dome around the city to protect it from future invasion. Shalako warned that this would displease Suula. Soon, a skull-shaped meteor was headed for the city…
