Atlantis, Pt. 1


145,000 years ago, in the ancient kingdom of Atlantis, twin sons were born to the most powerful sorcerers in the world, Calculha, a follower of the light, and Majistra, a practitioner of the dark.

Calculha raised the younger son, Ahri’ahn, in Atlantis, while Majistra raised the other, Garn Daanuth, in Mu. Each was taught their parent’s differing form of witchcraft; however, Ahri’ahn was not aware of the existence of his mother and brother. He became a follower of the Lords of Order and was later revealed to be a demigod.

Calculha foresaw a calamity that would befall Atlantis, and that Ahri’ahn would be its savior. Convening a conclave of master mages of the twelve cities and keepers of the Twelve Crystals of the Zodiac, Calculha learned that his wife, Majistra, was the Agent of Chaos that would cause this calamity as she attempted to draw power from the crystals. Calculha says to his son… 

I must ask the supreme sacrifice of you, my son — your life to save the world! Majistra defeats me with the power of the crystals — you must sunder that power!

Ahri’ahn gladly paid the price. As a result, he was converted into pure red energy by the crystals. The whiplash effect sent his father spinning into Darkworld, where his last wish was that Ahri’ahn live on in some form. He…
